Top Seeded Volleyball Team to Begin South Region Tournament Friday

ROCK HILL, SC - The NCCAA'S South Region top seeded volleyball team, the Clinton College Lady Golden Bears, will begin their quest for NCCAA Nationals Friday evening in the semifinals of the South Region Tournament.

The tournament, hosted by #3 seed Regent University will be played at Norfolk Christian HS in Virginia Beach, Va.

No. 1 seed Clinton (15-11, 4-1 NCCAA) will first take on #4 seed Paine College (9-11, 0-5 NCCAA) in a 5:00 pm match before #3 Regent (12-9) hosts #2 seed Carolina University (16-10) in the second semifinal at 7 pm.

The winners of the two semifinal matches will then play Saturday at 3:00 pm in the Region final with a NCCAA berth on the line.

The Lady Bears, led by head coach Tangela Faulkner have won their most games in school history and are the top seeded team for the first time as well.
