ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Clinton College volleyball team swept NAIA foe Columbia College 3-0 at home on Tuesday evening from the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center.
Clinton won set one 25-16 followed by 25-20 and 25-14 scores. Clinton totaled 30 kills to the Koala's 20.
Sophomore setter Sierra Faulkner led the Bears recording 15 assists and 6 digs with 2 kills, 3 aces, and 3 block assists while sophomore middle Monica Burns picked up 6 kills, 3 blocks, 2 digs and an ace. Freshman hitter MAdison Weber then had 7 kills and 8 digs while senior middle alexia Cunningham also notched 7 kills hitting .357 with 7 solo blocks and 12 total.
Freshman libero Charla White led the team defensively with 13 digs, 2 kills, 2 assists, and an ace while DS Camille Newton also had 10 digs and an ace.
The Lady Bears will next have a week off until matching up with Columbia again, but this time on the road at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
