Prycelyss Mayon
Sophomore | Tempe, AZ | Outside Hitter

The Golden Bears are excited to welcome transfer sophomore Prycelyss Mayon to the program. Coming to Clinton from Tempe, AZ, Prycelyss brings athleticism, experience, and versatility to the roster as an Outside Hitter. A dynamic pin player with a heavy arm and an array of shot selections, she adds another offensive weapon to the Golden Bears attack.

Having competed at the NAIA level, Prycelyss brings experience with a quick-tempo offensive system, which will help add speed and versatility to Clinton’s style of play. The coaching staff believes her ability to adapt, willingness to learn, and desire to improve make her a valuable addition to the program.

After competing against Clinton, Prycelyss was drawn to the energy and connection she saw within the team. The sisterhood, competitiveness, and support displayed by the Golden Bears stood out to her and played a major role in her decision to continue her volleyball journey at Clinton.

“I love how transparent and supportive you guys are. It makes me feel like home,” Prycelyss shared when describing what attracted her to the program and coaching staff.

As she begins her career with the Golden Bears, Prycelyss has goals of expanding her role on the court, including earning opportunities to contribute in the back row, a part of the game she has always enjoyed. She also looks forward to continuing to grow academically and finding success in the classroom.

A natural leader, Prycelyss believes in the importance of communication, encouragement, and maintaining positive energy through every challenge. She brings a team-first mindset and believes strong communication helps teams continue to improve together.

The coaching staff is excited to see Prycelyss’ continued growth and the contributions she will make as part of the Golden Bears volleyball family.
