Joining the Golden Bears as an incoming transfer from Central Arizona College, Heaven Saycon brings experience, athleticism, and a new dynamic to the middle blocker position. The 5’10” middle from Queen Creek, Arizona, adds a strong presence at the net with her blocking ability, offensive versatility, and understanding of the game gained through her JUCO experience.

Heaven’s maturity as a player is one of the qualities that makes her an exciting addition to the program. Her experience at the collegiate level has helped her develop resilience, patience, and a deeper appreciation for the process of growth. After a challenging first year where she saw limited court time, Heaven embraced the opportunity to improve, continued working through adversity, and learned the value of trusting the process. That journey helped shape her into the player and person she is today.

As a middle blocker, Heaven brings the ability to create opportunities offensively while giving the Golden Bears another option within our system. Her ability to spread the floor, attack in different areas, and provide a strong blocking presence will allow us to continue expanding our offensive options and create more challenges for opponents.

What stood out to Heaven throughout her recruiting process was finding a place where she was valued beyond volleyball. After her time at Central Arizona College, she wanted an environment where she could build genuine relationships, continue developing as a player, and be part of something meaningful. From her first conversations with the coaching staff, she felt the family atmosphere and support that made Clinton the right fit for her next chapter.

Heaven chose Clinton because of the connection she felt with the program and the opportunity to continue pursuing both her athletic and academic goals. Her goal of earning a degree in the medical field and building a career centered around helping others reflects the same commitment and care she brings into everything she does. She is focused on continuing to grow as a student, athlete, leader, and person while making a positive impact on those around her.

On the court, Heaven’s leadership qualities are shown through her ability to communicate, encourage her teammates, and look for ways to make the entire team better. She understands that success comes from collective growth and takes pride in creating a positive environment where everyone feels supported. Her willingness to lead by example through her work ethic, attitude, and commitment to the team will be a valuable asset to the Golden Bears.

We are excited for Heaven to step in and compete from day one. She brings a mindset of growth, a willingness to work, and a desire to make an impact. As she continues to develop within our program, we look forward to seeing her find her voice on the court, embrace her role, and continue becoming the player we know she can be.
