ROCK HILL, SC - Clinton College Head Women's Basketball Coach Toccara Toland has named Kyree Bethel as an Assistant Coach for the Golden Bear program for the 2024-25 season.

Bethel is a native of Goldsboro, NC and graduated from Chowan University where he holds a bachelor's degree in physical education and accounting.

Coach Bethel comes to Clinton College after spending a season at Myers Park high school as an assistant women's coach. He helped Myers Park to a 27-3 record and a berth in the Elite 8.

His responsibilities at Myers Park were player development, film breakdown, and preparing scouting reports. Coach Bethel was previously at Charlotte Country Day School (2020-23) and is also the current head coach of Team Curry 16 and Under Rise Team.

As a standout player from Fayetteville Christian School (NC), Bethel was a 3x All-Conference First Team, 3x All Conference MVP, 3x Player of the Year, the All-Time leading scorer in school history, and All-Time 3-pointers made in school history.

Bethel continued his basketball career at Chowan University earning First Team All-CIAA Honors, All-Time leading scorer in school history, single season 3-point record, and Most 3 pointers made in school history. Bethel finished up his basketball career playing 3 years overseas. He spent two years in England and finished his last year in Norway before moving to Charlotte NC.
