The Golden Bears are excited to welcome sophomore Outside Hitter Katelyn Blue to the varsity program after her time with Clinton’s Junior Varsity team. Standing at 5’8”, Katelyn brings athleticism, competitiveness, and a strong offensive presence to the court. Known for her quick whip arm swing, communication, and ability to attack, she is an exciting addition to the Golden Bears’ pin position.

As Katelyn transitions into the varsity program, the coaching staff is excited to see her continue developing and embracing the opportunities ahead. Her work ethic, willingness to improve, and commitment to becoming a better version of herself reflect the mindset she brings to the team.

During her recruiting process, Katelyn was looking for more than just a place to play volleyball — she was searching for an environment where she could continue growing as an athlete and as a person. Clinton stood out because of the personal connection she felt when visiting campus and the relationships she began building within the program.

“I chose Clinton because I felt like it was the best fit for me. I like that it’s a smaller school because bigger environments can be overwhelming for me, and when I visited everyone made me feel comfortable,” Katelyn shared.

What attracted Katelyn most was the culture surrounding the program and the genuine investment she saw from those around her. She recognized Clinton as a place where athletes are encouraged to succeed both on the court and in life.

Katelyn’s goals are centered around continued improvement, pushing herself to reach her full potential, and becoming stronger in every area of her game. She believes leadership is demonstrated through actions, describing herself as hardworking, dependable, supportive, and someone who leads by example.

The coaching staff is excited for Katelyn’s continued growth and the impact she will make as she continues her journey with the Golden Bears volleyball family.
