Joining the Golden Bears this season, Naomi House brings excitement, athleticism, and versatility to the program as a 6’0” freshman Opposite/Middle Blocker. Naomi is a dynamic student-athlete who brings a unique athletic background, a willingness to learn, and the ability to make quick adjustments as she continues to find her role on the court.

From the moment Naomi arrived on campus, she felt a connection to Clinton. The welcoming environment she experienced from the very beginning, from the people on campus to the volleyball program, allowed her to see that Clinton was a place where she could truly grow. Being able to attend an HBCU was also meaningful to Naomi, giving her the opportunity to be surrounded by a community where she feels represented, encouraged, and supported.

Naomi’s journey to volleyball was not one she originally expected. A year ago, she imagined herself pursuing college basketball, but through her journey she found a new opportunity in volleyball that opened a door she did not anticipate. Through the recruiting process, she found Clinton that believed in her and gave her the chance to continue playing the sport she loves. She believes this journey has been part of a greater plan and is excited for everything this next chapter will bring.

What stood out to Naomi about Clinton was the family atmosphere and the genuine support within the program. She saw a team and coaching staff that cared about helping athletes grow not only as volleyball players, but also as students and people.

As she begins her freshman season, Naomi is focused on continuing to grow in every area of her life. Her goals extend beyond the volleyball court as she works to strengthen her faith, become a better person, succeed academically, and make the most of every opportunity while representing Clinton.

One of Naomi’s greatest strengths is the way she connects with others. She leads by being inclusive, supportive, and intentional about making those around her feel valued. Having experienced what it feels like to be welcomed into a new environment, she wants to create that same feeling for her teammates through encouragement, positivity, and hard work.

We are excited to watch Naomi continue to develop, find her confidence on the court, and make her mark within the Golden Bears program. Her athletic ability, mindset, and heart for others make her a special addition to Clinton volleyball.
