POINT LOOKOUT, MO – Top-seeded Bethel University took home fifth place over #6 seed Clinton College at the 2026 NCCAA Men's Basketball National Tournament on Friday, March 20.
Fifth-Place Game: #1 Bethel University 83, #6 Clinton College 66
#1 Bethel University Pilots rolled to an 83-66 victory over #6 Clinton College in the fifth-place game.
- The contest started on a torrid pace, but a nice behind-the-back pass from guard Jordan Snipes Campbell set up fellow guard Kipp Richvine for the early score to put Clinton ahead, but a three-ball and spinning jumper inside from Austin Cripe gave Bethel the 8-7 lead.
- Cripe continued to score at will, nailing two straight makes from deep, and a driving layup swelled the Bethel lead to 20-11 with 12:14 left in the first half. The Pilots sailed ahead to a 31-16 lead halfway through the opening stanza.
- Snipes Campbell willed Clinton back into the game, connecting on a pair of layups, before converting a four-point play to finish an 11-0 run for the Bears that cut the Pilot lead to 31-27. Bethel then ripped off a 17-4 run that gave Bethel the 48-33 lead at halftime.
- Jaquise Richmond and Daquan Amlett added a pair of dunks for Clinton, but Bethel finished off the game, and the Pilots took home fifth place with the 83-66 win.
- Snipes Campbell continued to shine for Clinton, scoring 16 points and hauling down six rebounds while recording three steals.
