A'llyse Boone-Gilmore is entering her second season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Clinton College. She is a native of Columbia, South Carolina, and a graduate of Winthrop University, where she studied Physical Education and Health.
During her first stint with the program, the program produced a 20-win season, multiple NCCAA South Region 1st Team recipients, an NCCAA South Region Player of the Year, an NCCAA All-American, 2024-2025 NCCAA South Regional Champions, and an NCCAA National Championship Tournament appearance. She brings experience in player development, statistical analysis, film analysis, scouting, recruiting, and social media engagement. She has a wealth of knowledge and seeks to help cultivate an inclusive community of athletes prepared to excel in both athletic and academic pursuits.
Before joining the staff, Coach Gilmore spent seven years as an assistant coach at the high school level. During her tenure, the program produced newcomer of the year recipients, six all-state recipients, twelve all-region recipients, six all-star game participants, and several players who went on to compete at the collegiate level. The program also made three final four appearances (2-1) and two state championship appearances (1-1).
As an educator, she focuses on continuous growth and mentorship of future educators. She has worked with Winthrop University College of Education as a field experience host and mentor teacher. She is a former Teacher of the Year recipient, a 2023 South Carolina Association of Physical Education and Sport Elementary Teacher of the Year Nominee, and a 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year Nominee. Coach Gilmore looks to combine her expertise in both fields and continue the tradition of excellence at Clinton College.
